Lyrics

Comfort One Another

Tonight…
Verse 1:
The skies grow dark
The earth will tremble
Sun and moon refuse their light, ooh
Stars will fall, like scattered leaves
While the powers of heaven shake, yeah
Yet from the four winds, He will call
His own will gather… as one
Chorus:
So tonight (tonight)
comfort one another with these words( 1 Thessalonians 4 )
Behold, I tell you a mystery ( 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 )
We shall not all sleep, no
But we shall all be changed
In a moment (in a moment)
in the twinkling of an eye
At the last trumpet
We will rise… up together
Verse 2:
As in the days no one expected
Sudden as lightning, across the sky
The nations will mourn, hearts will fail
But the elect are held in His sight, mmm
He sends His angels, with a trumpet cry
And gathers us… from every side
Chorus:
So tonight (tonight)
comfort one another with these words
Behold, I tell you a mystery
We shall not all sleep, no
But we shall all be changed
In a moment (in a moment)
in the twinkling of an eye
At the last trumpet
We will rise… up together
Bridge:
When the sky itself rolls back like a scroll
And the kings from earth cry out in fear
We will not hide — we will rise
Gathered together in the air
nearer with our next breath…
Chorus:
So tonight (tonight)
comfort one another with these words
Behold, I tell you a mystery
We shall not all sleep, no
But we shall all be changed
In a moment (in a moment)
in the twinkling of an eye
At the last trumpet
We will rise up together
